Hazardous / Universal Waste
Who needs this course?
Federal law requires employees who handle hazardous materials/waste to undergo hazmat training. This includes, but isn’t limited to, truck drivers who transport hazardous materials, the workers who load the truck, train or airplanes, and the supervisor who oversees the work. Training programs have to be designed for both the daily user or generator and for the emergency contact employee that will respond in case of a material leak.
Training include general training regarding the hazardous materials rules, function-specific training that deals with safety issues specific to an employee’s job, education on the various security risks of hazardous materials storage and transportation plus detailed security training that looks at company-specific requirements, and safety training that reviews various safety issues.
